Champasak
Champasak is one of the three largest rice baskets in Laos. The capital of Champasak is Pakse (pakse means an estuary in Lao). The city was built by the French in 1905 and now is one of the most crowded cities in Laos.

Done Khone
You may catch the boat to Done Khone (the 4,000 islets) to visit the impressive Liphi Waterfall ( Devil Corridor ). If you are lucky you can enjoy watching the Irriwady dolphins and the remnants of the French colonial area ( old pier, steam railway , former French building and Maritime Office). Tadlo
The Tadlo impressive waterfall is 85km from Pakse, on the way to Saravane. Many ethnic villages are scattered around the waterfalls, as well as several lodges and resorts where you can arrange for an elephant ride to the surrounding forests and villages.
